為確保參加者安全及提高公眾對山野安全的意識，參賽者必須遵守以下強制裝備之要求 :

Dark 45 強制裝備​

• 頭燈 / 電筒

• 手提電話​

• 不少於800ml容量的水袋或水樽

• 至少港幣$100現金 / 八達通

• 緊急保暖毯 

• 號碼布

• 至少1包gel / bar

• 哨子

Light 16 強制裝備

• 手提電話​

• 不少於400ml容量的水袋或水樽

• 至少港幣$100現金 / 八達通

• 緊急保暖毯 

• 號碼布

• 至少1包gel / bar

• 哨子

賽事進行中或會隨機檢查強制裝備，如沒有攜帶其中一項，會導致加時或即時取消參賽資格。

A random mandatory gear check may be carried out during the race. Runners will incur a penalty which may range from a time penalty to disqualification if missing one of the above items.
